We are pleased to be exhibiting at Sebastian Izzard Asian Art as Charles Ede makes its inaugural appearance at Master Drawings New York. Our presentation spans the period from around 1800 through to modernism and includes highlights such as a drawing by Gustav Klimt from the Beethoven Frieze, works by Edgar Degas, a study for The Raft of the Medusa by Théodore Géricault, and a compelling study of the artist’s hand by Stanley Spencer. These are shown alongside works by remarkable women artists, including Lizinka de Mirbel, Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn, Juana Romani, Adèle-Anaïs Toudouze, Héloïse Suzanne Colin, Tora Vega Holmström, Françoise Gilot, and Suzanne Fabry, underscoring both the breadth of our programme and the evolution of drawing across this period.
A fully illustrated accompanying catalogue will go live via email and the website on Thursday 29th January.
